         Chris Weber instructs hazardous materials topics internationally, actively develops and instructs numerous hazardous materials and counter-terrorism courses, and runs full scale training exercises through his training and consulting firm Dr. Hazmat, Inc (www.drhazmat.com). Chris regularly instructs illicit laboratory response classes for the U.S. military, 24 hour Hazmat Medic classes for EMS personnel, such regulatory classes as HAZWOPER, RCRA, and DOT courses and refreshers for industry, and numerous other courses for hazardous materials responders including:

        Chris is currently a subject matter expert (SME) with the Longmont (Colorado) Fire Department’s Hazardous Materials Response Team. Chris’ past experience includes serving on the Washtenaw County (Michigan) Hazardous Materials Response Team for over a decade in positions that include hazmat technician, Training Officer, and Deputy Director. He has been a firefighter for over 20 years and is an adjunct instructor with the Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Training Center in Lansing, Michigan. He has extensive experience involving hazardous materials chemistry including a Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology and biological chemistry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and 15 years research experience in the biomedical sciences.
